TASTING NOTE: The 2024 Lowboi Riesling is a beautiful wine. Deep aromatics of grilled pineapple, dried mango and tonic like scents. It has fleshy flavours of pineapple, red apples and lime confit with a deliciously zesty, minerally and refreshing close. Superb.

ABOUT THE WINE: The Porongurup Range is a beautiful and unique place, known for its incredible biodiversity and the massive granite structures that dominate the landscape. A part of the beautiful landscape is the Springviews Vineyard, a dry grown vineyard planted in 1985. This mature site is the secret sauce in the Lowboi range. A warm dry summer resulted in healthy yields of high quality fruit picked over three weeks earlier than 2023. The fruit was hand harvested then given a chill overnight before being whole cluster pressed and undergoing fermentation with natural yeast with a high portion of solids in stainless steel tanks. The wine then had an extended élevage on lees prior to bottling.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: In '17 winemaker Guy Lyons (Forest Hill) and his wife Nicola bought the Springviews vineyard on the south side of the dramatically beautiful Porongurup range in Great Southern and created their brand, Lowboi. Planted in '85, the vineyard orientation is east-west and was established as a dry-grown site, although irrigation was added in '20 due to constant water pressure in the area. The soils are layered laterite gravels with loam and weathered granite. Planted on the south-facing slope is riesling and Gingin clone chardonnay. Their grüner veltliner comes from the Lyons family farm in Mount Barker. The ‘Lowboi’ name originates from the farm Guy's mother grew up on in the Great Southern shire of Tambellup. Halliday

A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
