- TASTING NOTE: Fiero 2020 is a blend of Merlot and Sangiovese, dark ruby in color with distinctive flavors of plums, blackberry, raspberry and red rose. Additional notes include licorice, black pepper and Sangiovese's characteristic dried herbs. The wine offers pronounced flavor intensity well balanced with refreshing acidity and silky tannins.

ABOUT THE WINE: This wine is made of 50% Merlot from Chianti area and 50% Sangiovese from Montalcino (planted about 300m above sea level). The grapes are hand-picked and fermented separately. Fermentation and maceration occur in stainless steel tanks for 40-50 days. This long period of skin contact allows for full extraction of tannins, flavors, and color. The Sangiovese matures in Slavonian oak barrels (3200-3500 L) for about 12 months, while Merlot the matures in French oak barrels (500 L) for about 12 months.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Ridolfi comprises of two estates - Ridolfi in Montalcino and Tenuta Rocchetto in Larciano - covering approximately 21 hectares of cultivated vineyards. The wine are the results of a deep passion for viticulture and winemaking that the Peretti family continues to uphold. Their current approach emphasizes traditional hand methods throughout many stages of winemaking, with strict attention to expressing the terroir from which the wine originates. Ridolfi

A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
