- A very special pack featuring 3 of our favourite Victorian Chardonnay producers. Giaconda produce arguably Australia's most famous and un-attainable white wine. Bass Phillip is a Gippsland icon, who's Chardonnays are now reaching the heights of their famed Pinots under the stewardship of Jean Marie Fourrier. Place Of Changing Winds is the new kid on the block. Sourced from an incredible high density vineyard in Macedon, it's been turning heads since it's first release.
- Giaconda 'Estate Vineyard' Chardonnay 2022, Beechworth VIC "An utterly beguiling wine of deep complexity and stunning freshness. Vintage '22 brought on one of the latest harvests ever for the maker, and the cool season and long hang time has worked a special kind of magic. The scent demands your attention, with jasmine, citrus blossom, grapefruit flesh, nectarine, peach custard, cashew and buttered toast. Seamless entry, the wine glides across a richly detailed palate, textural and luxurious in flavour, with a pinch of bright quince-led spice to close. Filigree fine acidity brings a crystal clarity and freshness. A chardonnay masterclass from the masters." 99 Points - Jeni Port, Halliday
- Bass Phillip 'Premium' Chardonnay 2021, Gippsland VIC "So the premium chardonnay has its mojo back. Excellent news. Tightly focused with pristine fruit of sliced lemon, white peach, powdered ginger, sea spray and umami/nougatine lees, creamy, too, with the oak superbly integrated. Complex, detailed and flavoursome with chalky acidity that corrals all those flavours in obedience finishing long and pure. What a wine." 97 Points - Jane Faulkner, Halliday
- Place Of Changing Winds 'Larderdark' Chardonnay 2022, Macedon VIC “Close-planted vines. The wine rested in glass Wineglobes, the sentient alien looking pods that they are, and two oak casks. So elegant, so refined, poise and precision yet with flavour and depth. It opens with flickers of flinty mineral elements, toast and woody spices, sweet spice too, sugared almond, green apple, stone fruits and alpine herbal elements. The palate a good reflection of this, quite notable concentration and depth, a plushness trimmed with talc-like mineral pucker and a long, palate-staining, sweet spice finish. One of those wines you shake the last drops out of the bottle onto your tongue, or is that just me?” 96 Points - Mike Bennie, The Wine Front
