- TASTING NOTE: "Light melon fruit aromas; think honeydew and rockmelon, along with a delicate creamy cashew nut character and just a hint of butterscotch adding complexity. This is a well-balanced and well-integrated Chardonnay. After 6 months in barrel post fermentation, the melon fruit flavours are well integrated with the subtle oak characters. It was a clean primary ferment so there’s still a lovely freshness to this wine and, as the malolactic fermentation reduces the acidity, it’s soft and generous and imminently drinkable!" - ABOUT THE WINE: ‘Old School’ Chardonnay is from specific blocks from the Langton & Hayview vineyards in Mt Barker. Predominately barrel fermented in approximately 40% new oak and 100% malolactic fermentation to produce a softer, complex, and textured wine.

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Founded in 1997 and owned by four Western Australian families, West Cape Howe has become one of Western Australia’s favourite wine brands. The Langton vineyard was established in 1978 and has some of the most mature vines in the Great Southern, consistently producing the highest quality fruit. In recent years, West Cape Howe acquired neighbouring vineyards in Mt Barker and has significant vineyard resources in Frankland. With a reliable climate, these vineyards have contributed to the consistent quality of West Cape Howe’s wines.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
