ABOUT THE WINE: The 2023 MMAD Vineyard Rosé has a lovely pale salmon hue.
Fresh blood orange notes on the nose are followed by a mix of bright red fruit and a savoury profile, with floral, fennel frond, anise seed and quince notes on the palate. A delicious dry and complex rosé with a touch of grip on the finish.
All four grape varieties on the vineyard (Grenache, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Chenin Blanc) were handpicked for this ‘field blend’ rosé. - ABOUT THE PRODUCER: The old vines of Blewitt Springs are a precious resource, and an important part of Australia’s viticultural history. In early 2021, MMAD Vineyard was purchased by a quartet made up of winemakers Martin Shaw and Adam Wadewitz, and Masters of Wine Michael Hill Smith and David LeMire. MMAD takes its name from their first initials. The MMAD wines aim to reflect the unique terroir of Blewitt Springs and the rare old vines that thrive there. MMAD Vineyard has Grenache that was all planted in 1939, as well as Shiraz and Chenin Blanc, the oldest of which were planted in 1941 and 1964 respectively. The philosophy in the vineyard is to continuously improve soil and vine health, and to promote diversity of plants, insects, and the microbiome.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your order confirmation email. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
