- TASTING NOTE: Medium to full bodied, with a dark fruited quality and mineral and graphite tones. Rustic, but elegant with great structure.
- ABOUT THE WINE: The 5.5ha that compose the Liscone wine comes from 30+ year-old vines sitting 430 meters above the sea. Liscone’s natural fermentation ranges between 14-24 days, depending on the tannin level of the vintage. Extractions are made daily, with more in the beginning than the end. Aging takes place initially in stainless steel for 18 months, then it is racked into old, neutral 500-liter French oak barrels for one year and then back to stainless for 3-6 months before bottling. The wine is lightly filtered but not fined.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: In 2003, increasingly convinced of the potential of his families old Aglianico vines, Giuseppe Latorraca decided to vinify and bottle his first harvest in the cellars near the monastery of the Madonna delle Grazie in Venosa. Lattoraca's only grow Aglianico del Vulture grapes in various districts of the Venosi area at altitudes between 400 and 550 meters above sea level. The cantina is now under the supervision of Giuseppe's sons Paolo and Michele and they produce a range of red wines and even a rosé and white wine from the famous southern Italian grape variety. Vineyard work is certified organic.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
