- TASTING NOTE/ABOUT THE WINE: "Fruit is sourced from Donnybrook and Frankland River in Western Australia. The wine sees a small portion of American oak employed. This hits the spot for malbec. Plush, velvety, a lift of bright fruit under more ripe and concentrated plum and cassis notes. Some bay leaf, a bit of sea spray, light sprinkles of cinnamon and a dash of pipe tobacco in there too. A very mellow wine, easy to drink, lots of charm, a sense of vibrancy underpinning the drinkability. Red wine for long lunches. You get the gist. It's good." 93 Points - Mike Bennie, Halliday

ABOUT THE PRODUCER: John Griffiths, former Houghton winemaker, teamed with wife Jane Micallef to found Faber Vineyard. They have established shiraz, verdelho (1.5ha each), brown muscat, chardonnay and petit verdot (0.5ha each). John says, ‘It may be somewhat quixotic, but I’m a great fan of traditional warm-area Australian wine styles, wines made in a relatively simple manner that reflect the concentrated ripe flavours one expects in these regions. A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
