- TASTING NOTE: The vines from one of the top Mercurey Premier Cru vineyards are old but the soil has nourished grapes since before the Romans. The old vines produce a wine that is rich, generous and full of black-cherry flavors. A streak of minerality adds complexity to this juicy wine.
- ABOUT THE WINE: Hand picked grapes are fully destemmed and undergo several manual sortings. Fermentation with indigenous yeast in enameled cast iron tanks. Extraction is by gentle pump overs before a pressing to oak (30% new) for 12 months.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Benoît Eschard started out as an engineer before he took over the sixth generation family property from his uncle in 2013. The estate was created in 1858 and covers 9 ha of contiguous vineyards exclusively within the Mercurey appellation including 7 ha of Mercurey Premier Cru and the Premier Cru monopole Clos des Grands Voyens.

Pickup is available during our opening hours:

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
