TASTING NOTE: Coming from the volcanic soils of Main Ridge, (also the coolest of Luke's two sites) the wine shows delicate sweet spice and layers of red fruits with a beautiful purity and polish to it. Nuanced and perfectly balanced. Tres chic!
- ABOUT THE WINE: 30% whole bunch. Old French oak barriques for elevage. No fining or filtration. Minimal sulphur.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Luke Curry started working on the Mornington Peninsula in 1999, first amongst the vines and then, after a wine science degree, he became a winemaker at Red Hill Estate. Today he farms two sites the Mosselini Vineyard in Merricks North and the Applewood Vineyard in Main Ridge. Like all great producers of wine, Luke is a farmer first and winemaker second. He has worked his two mature sites since 2003 and knows them intimately. Primarily focusing on the Burgundian varieties of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, Luke also farms and produces a small plot of Syrah and Pinot Gris. Luke watches his yields, doesn't over crop and is focused on picking for optimal natural acidity without sacrificing flavour. The wines spend extended time on lees with minimal battonage and the result is sublimely textured, nuanced and fine but full flavoured wines with true site specific personality. Taturry still flys under the radar and the wines aren't submitted to publications for review, however, you will find them featured on all the great wine lists of Australia.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
