- ABOUT THE WINE: Produced from a single vineyard. Grapes are handpicked, then the wine is vinified and aged in stainless steel and concrete.
- ABOUT THE PRODUCER: Vigne Marina Coppi is based in the town Castellania in the DOC of Colli Tortonesi. Named for the mother of the owner and vigneron, Francesco Bellocchio, the estate was established in 2003. Francesco is the grandson of famous Italian cyclist Fausto Coppi, and it was Fausto's connection with the Castellania and it's surrounds that inspired Francesco to start his winery project in the region. Francesco farms just a few hectares, planted predominately with Timorasso, Barbera and smaller amounts of Nebbiolo, Croatina and La Favorita. Planted to around 5000 vines per hectare from a massale selection from historic vineyards in the region, the vineyard is managed without herbicides and is planted with winter cover crops which are used as a green manure later in the season. The soils in the region are known as Marl of Sant'Agata, and is made up of 30% sand, 55% clay and 15% limestone. This complex soil, plus the high diurnal range of the area provides condition to produce wines with outstanding elegance and finesse.

Q: Can someone else pickup my order?
A: Yes if they have your receipt. However all alcohol orders must be picked up by an individual 18 year or older. Proof of age and sobriety are required as per RSA regulation.
